Mother’s Day & Summer Birthdays

Have you all picked out a present for you mother yet? Do you have a lot of friends with summer birthdays? Are you suffering a little this year do the economy? I have the perfect gifts you can get for your mom and/or friends with out spending a lot of money.

1. Home made scrapbook

What you need:

Scrapbook, photos, stickers, magazines, colored and/or patterned paper, glitter or any type of decorations

How:

First decide on the photos you want to use and how many photos will go on each page. This way you will be positive they will all fit into the book. Once you have done that it is now time to decide what theme you want to go with.

Some example themes are:

Fashion

Girlie

Flowers

Love

Once you have your theme pick up a magazine and start cutting out anything that has to do with the theme. It could be words, design, pattern, anything that is relevant to your theme.

Now take your colored paper and/or patterned paper and glue a piece onto the first page of your scrapbook. Next take your photo and you can cut it or leave it the way it is and glue it onto the first page as well. Final step is to look at what you have cut out from your magazine and assess if any of it could go on page one. For instance if you picked fashion as your theme maybe you could cut out the words In Style from In Style magazine and have a picture of receipent under the words.

Page one is done and now your creative juices are flowing… keep taking the same steps on each page until your done. Finally stage for the whole book is to flip through and see if anything should be added. Maybe some glitter to one page or confetti. Don’t go overboard and keep with your theme!

2. Digital Scrapbook

Many programs can be found online to make digital scrapbooks.

What you need:

Need digital photos

Printer or a kinko’s close by

How:

Load the pictures you would like to use into your program and follow the instructions…. then print!
