I Love College
I have been out of college since 2002 and it is now 2009. I wish I could say that I have matured and my whole life has grown since college but I can’t. College is like a tease of what you will never be able to have again. When Asher Roth came out with his song “I Love College” it reminded me of how happy I was during that time of my life!
My college was in Florida on a lake. There was a gorgeous pool overlooking the lake where everyone hung out. There was a boat house where students could keep their boats. We would go water skiing on the lake sometimes during lunch. I can still picture the birds chirping, the palm trees blowing, and the warm air that greeted me every morning in college. All I had to worry about was waking up 5 minutes before class and bringing the correct book. Didn’t have to worry about meals since I had a meal card. Alcohol was provided at all functions, my sorority was like one big closet so no need to spend money on clothing. Basically I will never have that again…sigh! Maybe one day my life will be as simple and happy as it was in college…A girl can dream right?
